Previous Events
Royal Windsor Horse Show
Kelly Jenson and Hectors’ Valentine managed to qualify for the final of the Top Score competition held at Windsor and had a good day. Unfortunately he knocked down the joker fence so lost 200 points, but still managed a very impressive 13th at what is becoming a very popular event. So well done to them both!
Dressage to Music
Sparsholt on Monday 31 May
Although numbers were down this year it was still a very competitive event and with some interesting music and floorplans.
New Forest Riding Club were represented by Rachel Christopher and Olivia McCarthy in the junior sections. Sadly Sue Randall’s pony was injured and she couldn't make it.
Rachel did very well for her first attempt at music with her very attractive pony Harvey. Even though he found a few scary things to look at in the indoor school, she came 2nd in the '0 BD points' section with a very respectable 63.61%.
The more experienced pair of Olivia and Folds Mulberry did a very nice, flawless test gaining one of the best percentages of the music classes at 73.89% and qualifying for the National finals at Aintree in the '124 BD points' section, so very well done to her!
Cross Country Festival of the Horse Challege
Rockbourne on 18th April 2010
A good day all round. Kelly Jensen represented us in the Novice and was placed a very respectable 5th. Nikki Williams competed for the club in the Open and was placed 2nd, missing 1st place by being 7 seconds too fast! This was disappointing for Nikki – she had planned carefully to save time and went inside the bushes after the hayrack, as last year they received time faults for being too slow! Sadly as the first placed rider was not in a team, she qualified as the individual. Well done to both Nikki and Kelly.
